YMMV / Vampirina

  • Adaptation Displacement: Raise your hands if you heard about the children's books it's based on.
  • Adorkable:
    • Vee is socially awkward, but she looks cute when doing so.
    • Demi the ghost is quite an excitable and nerdy little guy.
    • Even Mr. Gore gets in on this. "Vee Is For Valentine" and its partner episode show his nerdier side that makes him rather endearing.
    • Bridget definitely embraces this trope whenever she gets excited, or tries covering up her nervous behavior.
    • Cleo the delivery witch also falls into this thanks to her can-do attitude towards deliveries, and her generally cheerful attitude.
  • Americans Hate Tingle: Vampirina is one of the cutest shows in the United States and generally aims at a unisex audience, but it sold terribly outside of English-speaking countries. One factor is because it contains some Halloween content that is not known well outside of the Anglosphere, like trick-or-treating, being present in the show (especially, those in Hong Kong and Japan, were the show sold terribly due to trick-or-treating not being very well known there). Another factor is because some countries see the show as "girly", especially in countries like Romania, even though vampires are generally very well known there. On the other hand, Vampirina did well in several countries of Western Europe, like France and the United Kingdom for example.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In Mushroom And The Spirit Of The World, Nicole Sullivan voiced The Forest Witch, who's lovably vain. Seven months later, she would voice another witch, Clio, who's her complete opposite.
  • Memetic Mutation: The Spine Chiller dance is this both in and out-of-universe.
  • Moe: Vee is just an adorable ball of energy. Many other characters qualify as well.
  • Ugly Cute: This show is full of it.
    • Vee has fangs and bat ears, yet is adorable in her pink dress and blue skirt. Wolfie and her parents and Nanpire are also reasonably attractive.
    • Gregoria is a gargoyle, yet has small, round features and tiny wings on her tail that are endearing.
    • We have Hornadette and Shreekia, the two-headed monster in "Two Heads Are Better Than One". The former has a long neck and the latter a short neck. The former wears half a goth shirt while the latter has half a sweater. The former has a sneaker while the latter doesn't. Yet they still look cute.
    • Hydie Jekyll is this as a troll, where she's large and pudgy, yet still quite easy on the eyes. As a regular monster, she's straight up a cutie.
  • The Woobie:
    • Sure, Vee may mess up from time to time, but it's hard not to feel sorry for her when she messes up given that she does everything with heart and determination. More so in "Home Scream Home", where she felt out-of-place, due to a lot of changes that happened since she left, and wonders if she even belongs in Transylvania anymore. Not helping is Poltergeist Pat rubbing it to her face.
    • Bridget is scared of a lot of things, and you will want to hug her each time.
    • Buttons, when she's upset that she's just too cute to be scary.
Demi: She's even cuter when she's sad.
