- Captain Obvious Reveal: The fact Dias was Diavolo was pretty obvious. Not only do they both share the same first three letters in their name, but they both have similarly-shaped horns and body types.
- Spoiled by the Format: Episode 6 seemingly ends with Regulos defeating Volcan and having him rebuild the planet with Spica as the new Grand Master. However, this happens at the halfway point and the next half has Regulos and Spica being attacked by the Absolutians.
- Unexpected Character: First Mission had a bunch of unexpected antagonists show up: Dallie (a pretty unremarkable small kaiju) as well as Alien Reiblood (albeit in Reibatos' body) and Ultraman Shadow
