YMMV / Ultra Custom Night

Go To

  • Friendly Fandoms: With the Forsaken AR: Darkest Delivery fandom, as both have similar concepts of adding on to previous FNAF games, as well as the fact that Kamil produces music for Forsaken.
  • Goddamned Bats: While none of the enemies have to be included, some of them can add a lot of annoyance if they are.
    • All variants of the Paperpals (the regular Paperpals, Adventure Paperpals, Simulator Paperpals, and Virtual Paperpals) show up randomly to a block the middle of the screen and play an airhorn. They are completely unavoidable and only stay for a second, so they're not dangerous on their own. Still, if you set a night to have all four of them and some animatronics which are easily obscured or agitated by noise, you're getting full-course nuisance.
    • If you hated Nightmarionne and how it forced you to pay attention and not hover the cursor over it, this game has regular Nightmarionne in the office and Adventure Nightmarionne in the monitor who function identically.
    • Adventure Chica rains cupcakes from above. If you don't catch one, you're dead. The amount of them at higher levels can be overwhelming and overall likely to distract you while moving the cursor.
    • Gray Freddy constantly follows your cursor and if you hit him too many times, he'll cover your whole screen with a greyscale/RGB effect. This forces you to be on the move constantly unless you're able to deal with high-caliber Interface Screw.
  • Nightmare Retardant: Anyone who plays FNAF for the horror should look elsewhere.
    • If you thought the original game was nuts when most if not all enemies are active, this game lets you have more than ten times as many. Just try to juggle that.
    • Many of the enemies are insanely obscure or wacky. Stuffed Freddy? The cupcakes? Chica's Magic Rainbow? The neighbors from Sister Location? The in-game plushies? Christmas presents? An evil scientist? Math Man? Eminem? Lives Guy? Reddit posts? A yellow sphere? Colored squares? A hotdog? The number three?
    • All of the jumpscares being still images- while justified, as animating them would take a huge amount of effort and increase the file size beyond what Clickteam could possibly handle- significantly dulls their scare factor.
  • Unexpected Character: With hundreds of characters in the game, some of whom only having the most tenuous connection with official FNAF material, picks that feel like they came out of left field would be inevitable.
    • V.1.4.3's odd choice was Withered Trash and the Gang, a fan-made render that was mistakenly used in The Freddy Files: Updated Edition.
    • V.1.5.9 gave people Theodore Peterson from Hello Neighbor since he appeared on Razzbowski's webcam in the Ultimate Custom Night trailer.
    • V.1.6.2's most unexpected addition was either Baldi from Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, simply because he was mentioned in the Freddy in Space 2 portion of "#CancelCancer LIVE w/ Game Theory + St. Jude (Ft. Markiplier, Try Guys, TheOdd1sOut, and MORE!)", or the Imposter from Among Us, who received a mention in "Dawko & Kirin - CEO of Illumix - Q&A".
    • V.1.6.3 added True Sans who showed on a shirt celebrating Game Theory's 10th Anniversary. Other characters from that shirt have not been added yet.
    • Potentially the weirdest of all the ones that appeared yet, V.1.6.4 added Eminem. Yes, even a real-life rapper can get in the game thanks to a cameo in official material (more specifically, "7 Years Of FNaF's Amazing Fanbase" by Clickteam, shown in a picture at the 8:43 mark).
    • Another weird character from V.1.6.4 is Chef Boyardee (the mascot of a canned-food brand), who was apparently mentioned in an off-screen dev text related to Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.
