YMMV / The Simpsons S14 E4 "Large Marge"

Go To

  • Best Known for the Fanservice: Marge's implants are usually the only thing brought up when discussing this episode, especially the scene near the end where she's coerced into flashing her large breasts in order to distract the crowd and prevent the Springfield Police from harming Homer, Bart and Milhouse by shooting at Stampy the elephant.
  • Fans Prefer the New Her: Naturally despite the back pain and negative attention, Marge still looks great with her new figure.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Following the Take That! about Radio Disney having its songs rewritten for babies, it then plays a parody of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" about spoiled milk. The Baha Mens' most notable song apart from WLTDO is the theme song to the Playhouse Disney series Stanley.
    • It also wouldn't be the last time the group would perform a parody of the song in this series.
  • Signature Scene: For most viewers, the scene that stands out is the part where Marge Simpson resorts to exposing her huge breasts to save Homer, Bart and Milhouse's lives after Stampy the elephant puts them in his mouth.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: The Take That! to Radio Disney clearly marks this episode as taking place before 2006, when the successes of High School Musical and Hannah Montana (and later The Twilight Saga) caused Radio Disney to focus mainly on Teen Idols. Although for awhile in 2011, it did bring back the one-hour block for the infant demographic which it previously had in the late 90s and early 2000s. And the station as a whole was shut down entirely in late 2021.
