- Like You Would Really Do It: Nobody believed that Fennec would die when a mysterious figure shows up.
- Narm Charm: The Mandalorian kills another bounty hunter by blowing up his fighter after delivering a Pre-Mortem One-Liner. The bounty hunter screams in an over-the-top manner as his ship explodes around him, with his screams echoing even after he should have been vaporized. It wouldn't be out of place in a cheesy 1980s action movie, but since the series aesthetically feels like a 1980s film, it feels fitting.
- Narrowed It Down to the Guy I Recognize: Double subverted. Fennec Shand is played by Ming-Na Wen, so viewers familiar with her would assume she'll be more than a one-episode bounty. Instead, just as it seems she's managed to trick Toro into freeing her, he coldly guns her down. It's then played straight at the end, when a shadowy figure in a cape approaches her seemingly-dead body in the desert.
- Retroactive Recognition: The Tusken Raider Scout #1 who negotiates by sign with Mando is played by Troy Kotsur, who also created a Tusken Sign Language for the series. Three years after The Mandalorian, Kotsur won the 2022 Best Supporting Actor Oscar for CODA (2021).
