Adamwestslapdog's series:
- Alternative Character Interpretation: Ganondorf originally started out as a good hero, saving orphans in a fire that Link started.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: See the BANKAI joke on the Ganon Battle episode. Now let's move to Skyward Sword, where Link has the Skyward Strike, which releases a crescent-shaped wave to attack. What's the main attack of the reffered anime's protagonist?
- Unintentional Period Piece: In Episode 3, Owley the Owl asks the viewer to "rate this video 5 stars". YouTube discontinued the star based rating system in 2010.
Xanauzumaki's series:
- Anti-Climax Boss: Lots of 'em. Especially the eyeball bosses.
- Awesome Music: keatonkeaton999's "Song of Storms remix" used in the opening.
- Cargo Ship:
- Shad really loves those books.
- Navi really likes muffins.
- Crosses the Line Twice: Episode 5 of Majora's Mask Abridged has Link wanting to kill a goron baby.
- Ensemble Dark Horse:
- Zant has a surprisingly large fanbase.
- Lampshaded with Joe the Deku Scrub.
- Memetic Molester: MAYOR BO. Need we say more?
- Memetic Mutation: MUFFINS!
- Replacement Scrappy: Link chews out Tatl for being this to Navi in episode 7 of Majora's Mask Abridged.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Mido. Even Link had trouble figuring it out.
- The Woobie: Tatl. She's hated by Link, is suicidal and is forced to watch all of Link's atrocities and is completely powerless to stop it.
Tauberpa's series:
- Anti-Climax Boss: Plenty of them.
- Crosses the Line Twice: The Twilight Princess abridged series relies heavily on this. Link is a Broken Bird whose parents tried to eat him, he was tortured as a child by the squirrels who mutilated the corpses of said parents, he's been almost raped by the mayor's daughter (37 times), and he couldn't get a restraining order on said mayor's daughter. That's just the backstory; in the series proper Link gets virtually enslaved by Midna and forced to put his life at risk by exploring the dungeons and fighting the boss monsters of the main game. With all this in mind, Link's reactions to said trauma are hilariously exaggerated and usually mention squirrels.
- Heartwarming Moments: HD WindWaker Abridged episode 8; Gannondorf psychologically tears down Link, painting his coping mechanisms as pathetic delusions and explaining how he played into Gannondorf's hands. The episode wraps up with this gem:
- Gannondorf: Just name one person who actually gives a damn about you.
