These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
YMMV: The Croods
Canon Sue: As part of the Parent-vs.-Boyfriend subplot, Grug must learn to deal with Guy, who is canonicallynote Guy's and Belt's diagram of the brain indicates that Neanderthals don't have them. the only character in-universe with a brain. This may or may not drag on when you start to realize that Guy, once he gets used to the Croods, is both charming and functionally omnicompetentnote The only things Grug really beats him at are his comparative strength and the presentation of fear. What threatens to make it insufferable is that Guy's constant superiority is almost always used to highlight Grug's inadequacies.
Ear Worm: "Smash and Grab", which plays during the opening hunt. The famous USC Marching Band collaborated with Alan Silvestri (the film's composer) on this particularly catchy tune. According to The Other Wiki, it samples the melody of Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk".
