YMMV: The Aquabats! Super Show!
  • Awesome Music: It's The Aquabats!. It's kind of a given.
  • Accidental Innuendo: In Laundry Day, the 'Bats are repeatedly whipped by a monster. Ricky groans that he's never felt so dirty before in his life. He's of course actually referring to the the dirty clothing the monster is made from.
    • During their fight in Christmas With The Aquabats, the Krampus demands Santa punish him for being naughty.
  • Best Known for the Fanservice: What do you remember more from Night Of The Cactus, the mutant cactus, or Ronmark?
  • Crazy Awesome
  • Ear Worm: ''Ohhh, burger rain, burger rain..."
    • "You're making a plan, it's called being a man, you're wingin' iiiit..."
    • Doing Science.
    • The theme song.
    • Basically the Once per Episode song can will probably get stuck in your head.
  • Evil Is Sexy: Dr. Eva Mudlark. At least when she isn't smearing sludge on her face or smelling the Aquabats' dirty uniforms.
  • Family-Unfriendly Aesop: Christmas With The Aquabats has the cast decide that parents should spank their kids more often instead of rewarding them on Christmas with gifts even if they've been bad. Then subverted when the characters seem perfectly fine rewarding everyone, good or bad, so long as the Krampus isn't watching.
  • Fanfic Fuel: The show runs on Rule of Fun, but occasionally sprinkles little details and bits of continuity that could be worked with, such as Weird Al playing both the President and Super Magic Power Man who dies, and the purposely contradicting back story segments in Season 2.
  • Fanservice: Of the non-sexual sort. Mythology Gags abound, whether the basis for an episode (Showtime, Shark Fighter, Cobra Man) or more subtle and in the background (The band's purple uniforms being used as camouflage, Crash's narration quoting lyrics from Pizza Day in The Thingy.)
  • First Installment Wins: Thanks to a halved second season and an even smaller third (Three Episodes!?), the show sadly hasn't gotten as much attention after the season one final.
  • Fridge Horror: Episode 9 ends with Pilgrim Boy being asked to transform into fireworks, which he does. Then said fireworks go off.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: The upcoming episode of Season 1.5 directed by Gerard Way and with Mikey Way as one of the villains looks to be an example of this and it hasn't even aired yet.
    • A good chunk of people at the Aquabats! Super Show panel at Comic-Con 2012 were only there because Gerard was moderating it. Made funny during the panel with a load of teenage girls in the front cheering his introduction...with some Aquabats! fans further back asking each other who the guy was.
  • Narm Charm
    • Special mention to Space Monster M. He's a hammy, giant, floating, albino head with a large M on his forehead... and he's terrifying!
  • Newer Than They Think: Fans of the show may check out the bands' earlier stuff might be surprised at how new Ricky and Eaglebones are to the cast, as well as the band not having set powers and the complete absence of the Battletram.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The 3-headed siren in "Lady Fingers!"
    • Jimmy Jr. from Mysterious Egg! is possibly the ugliest monster in the series.
      • Ricky's Imagine Spot from the same episode. He imagines himself eating the egg (Maybe it's full of protein!), just for humanoid face to crawl out of the yolk.
    • And Scruffy Scruff, the Gloopy product featured in "Cobraman!" Despite being played up as a cuddly plush toy, it looks like a hideous half-rotted abomination straight out of The Binding of Isaac!
    • Space Monster M, for a few reasons.
    • Ronmark's new form in Return of the Aquabsts! Ugly enough as it is, but it's the first mutant in the series that used to be a normal person.
    • The Krampus from Christmas With The Aquabats is much more intimidating than most of the shows other villains, and has few, if any comedic moments.
  • Special Effects Failure: All part of the fun!
  • The Scrappy: Invoked with Ronmark. The Aquabats don't want to put up with him. Although considering how much of a colossal jackass the guy is, it's not really a surprise.
  • Ugly Cute: The Siren's from Ladyfingers. They're very pale and have a few blemishes, but are otherwise quite pretty. Oh, and also all share the same body.
  • The Woobie: Pilgrim Boy.
    • Jimmy has multiple episodes dealing with feeling like an outcast thanks to being a robot.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The Anti-Bats presents a team of Evil Counterparts for the band. An awesome idea, but unfortunately they only really serve to act as muscle for the Silver Skull, barely showing any distinct powers or personalities.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: In Showtime!, real life former Aquabats! Catboy and Chainsaw appear as rival superheroes. Instead of arguing, they decide to team up! And then Super Magic Power Man and Lanolin Lady show up, so Catboy and Chainsaw just leave.
