YMMV / The 3 Little Pigs: The Movie

Go To

  • Awesome Music: "Road To Fame" has awesome rhythm and lyrics, which would not be out of place in a Bing Crosby or Sammy Davis Jr. movie. The song is so good in fact, that one of the original English VHS releases finds a way to squeeze it in one more time, by playing it over the opening credits.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Big Boss' stupidity makes his mistreatment of Aromé kind of hilarious at times.
(Big Boss grabs a broom out of her hands)
Big Boss: Go do something useful, sweep the floor!
(launches her into a trash can with the broom)
Big Boss: (walks over to the trash can and leans his head over) What are you doing in there?! There's work to be done!
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: This movie is a modernization of a classic fairy tale that has the main characters escaping from being killed by their human owners. They later are tricked into becoming famous singers by the bad guys, who just want to make profit out of them and kill them afterwards. Those bad guys even have a machine that puts animals in cans. Also, the main characters are aided by a mouse that wasn't in the original source material and said material is left behind in a big chunk of the movie only to show its Signature Scene in the end. Replace The Three Little Pigs with The Bremen Town Musicians as the adapted source material and you have the outline for The Fearless Four.
  • Squick:
    • Between Big Boss almost chain smoking cigars, and Aromé’s skunk odor, the inn must smell downright awful.
    • The mental image conjured up by the instructions from the cooking show host can be a little much for some people.
Host: Take one pig, cut it in two-
  • What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: While the movie is generally your standard "villain is an animal that wants to eat other animal characters" story like the original, several scenes make the minimum recommended age of 3 years old seem a little too young of an age to watch it at.
