  • Ending Fatigue: The sheer number of times you almost reach your goal, but get turned back by the narrators' interference can get tedious. Eventually you wish the game would just end already. Thankfully, the actual ending is more than heartwarming enough to make up for that.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The Lost Woods stage with the player's face all over posters on various trees.
    • The cutscene with The Faceless clones of the player characters. And there are thousands of them.
      • Doubly so once you realize that every time a player starts a journey in Tearaway and never finishes the game, they've made one of The Faceless clones...
  • That One Achievement:
    • The Globe Trotter trophy in Tearaway Unfolded seems simple enough. The description reads "Take a photo in each chapter" and you regularly take pictures to restore color to the papercraft models. What the achievement doesn't tell you is that you have to take a picture and save it to the photo album (which has caused several players to think the trophy is glitched) and the "each chapter" part of the trophy includes the very short practically-a-cutscene final level. And no, the game doesn't record which levels have saved photos.
    • The Chauffeur trophy involves completing every last Misplaced Gopher escort mission, where you have to carry a gopher through a pretty sizeable chunk of level without dying. Drop the gopher? Restart the level and watch the unskippable cutscenes. Accidentally fall off a cliff? Restart the level and watch the unskippable cutscenes. Accidentally press the wrong button and send the gopher flying off a cliff? Restart the level and watch the unskippable cutscenes.
