- Ensemble Dark Horse: Despite not being introduced until two years into the comic's run, the Quest Sprout was an absolute smash hit and is by far the most popular character in the comic. This is mainly because of his adorable design, his endearing personality, and his funny Catchphrase ("QWEST!"). Matthew Wills himself was pleasantly surprised by the resounding reception and made further comics with the Sprout to please the crowds.

- Xiphos's death, in which he tells Harpe she makes a wonderful knight.
- The disappearance of Quest Sprout's mom after she deals with a nightmare they had .
- Ugly Cute: CCLXIII - Krak of Dawn
shows a kraken with a single giant eye looking pretty endearing, what with it letting out an understandable tear from a cannon firing a bunch of swords in its eye.
