  • Some fans feel the portrayal of cryptozoologists was rather bland and heavy-handed. The episode immediately hammers in that everyone and anyone who practices the subject must be an overzealous, mentally challenged bum without a shred of credibility to their cause. Basically, lumping them in with the old “Dude, run!” meme.
  • While the Passover dream sequence is probably meant to be a Mind Screw, it does skirt over some issues in the original story, like the fact that the Egyptians ordered the death of newborn slaves in the first place (which is why Moses was placed in the bulrushes) and the curse was on firstborn sons, meaning that a great many of those smitten by God would have been adults, rather than exclusively being children. At the same time, the one having that dream is Cartman, who is infamous for his Self-Serving Memories.
