... - Fridge Brilliance: A 10th anniversary flashback showing Uncle Scooby revealed that, even though he was a friend of one of Kade and Nicole's grandfathers and thus much older, he still wore a collar. The story shows they adored Uncle Scooby, which might be part of why Kade and Nicole are among the few canines in the story whom continue to wear collars into adulthood.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Harvey's Halloween costume of a zombie Pikachu has Harvey look extremely similar to a Mimikyu. Even the people in the comments thought that Harvey was actually cosplaying Mimikyu itself! The next strip lampshades this reaction.
- Take That, Scrappy!: Literally.Nicole: What's taking so long?
Kade: We're probably waiting for Cousin Scrappy.
Nicole: Ugh. I hate that guy.
