  • Catharsis Factor:
    • Following The Reveal about the babysitter and Sasha, we get an episode where Sarah Grace finally stands up for herself.
    • The doctor, a sane adult, stands up to Mrs. Sandwich for Eliza, refusing to be filmed or let Eliza be filmed.
  • Funny Moments:
Mom: We're gonna have to do that again. You don't seem surprised at all.
Sarah Grace: I'm not surprised, we've done this a thousand times.
Mom: It's called acting, try it.
Sarah Grace: I am acting. How much more do you want me to do, mom? I already seem insane! I'M THROWING UP!! I'M PISSING! I'M SHITTING!!!
    • Sarah Grace's response to being asked what she wants for Christmas: "O-Olivia Rodrigo..?"
    • Sarah Grace highlighting the absurdity of her mom's manipulation is both cathartic and pretty funny.
  • I Knew It!: Many people theorized Ella was a lesbian before it was confirmed.
    • Also, a few fans knew that Eliza had Lupus.
One commenter: It's never lupus... until it is
  • Magnificent Bastard: Mrs. Sandwich. Her Abusive Parent tendencies combined with her manipulation and entitlement around others make for a truly despicable character. And when you realize she didn't plan to give any of the kids any money ever...
  • Narm: All videos are still titled with "POV:", which turns some viewers off by reminding them that it's just a TikTok show.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Mrs. Sandwich. She is a relatively soft-spoken woman whose presence hangs over the house like an axe above a prisoner's head. Just how quickly she can shut up her children is terrifying. And, sadly, this is a case of Realism-Induced Horror.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Some fans who were used to Easom's usual lighthearted work were turned off by this series, which is comparatively vantablack.
  • The Woobie: All of the Sandwich Siblings. Each of them have experienced an incredibly troubled childhood, either starving and poor or mistreated/severely neglected and rich.
