- Edited for Syndication: The version watched on MST3K removed a scene with a topless Valeria. Lampshaded by Dr. Erhardt.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Joel, a guy who seems to be politically Left-Leaning, seems to indicate throughout the episode that he thinks Ted Nugent was cool. He's somewhat bummed that loincloth clad mute hunk, Kai gets killed ('Awwwww! The Huge Nuge!') and that a Detroit block party involving Nugent & George Clinton would be the most rockin' block party (Quoth Servo, approvingly: 'Police have been called!'). If Joel knew back then about Nugent what we know now, he'd probably avoid Ted like the plague & put him in the same category as Old Man Crenshaw mixed with Jim Backus' Militia.
- Special Effect Failure: Joel's super convincing attempt at doing a handstand. The floppy fake legs are delightfully obvious.
