- Ass Pull: Invoked in the form of a Visual Pun (see the related entry on the main page).
- Nightmare Fuel: When Herr Mafroditte punishes Goering for failing him, he steps on his foot, then drives his hand into his chest, nearly causing him to vomit. That isn't the nightmarish part. It's when Herr Mafroditte bites his tongue, and appears to gnaw on it, enough to draw blood!
- Too Cool to Live: Sir Archer, who was a former spy for British Intelligence and among the few people to ever outfox Lupin.
- Overshadowed by Controversy: This film is probably better-known for its homotransphobic Big Bad than for anything else.
- Values Dissonance: The main villain Herman Von Diett is a massive homophobic stereotype. A crossdressing, misogynistic neo-Nazi cult leader, with a name that's a pun on "hermaphrodite" (an outdated medical term-turned slur towards intersex and transgendered people). There are also several gay panic jokes involving his henchmen. Discotek Media went so far as to put a content disclaimer and an entire essay of liner notes to better contextualize and explain these stereotypes in a historical sense on the Blu-Ray so people could go into it prepared.
