YMMV / Law & Order: Organized Crime

Go To

  • Arc Fatigue: The Wheatley arc gets this, starting strong throughout the first season. It gets put on hold to make way for another story arc to complete, then it returns and drags on throughout the second season with a never-ending game of cat-and-mouse between Stabler and Wheatley, and the latter gets driven off a cliff.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Stabler deducing that a guard is Israeli (and therefore, very dangerous, as he's likely had military - if not special ops - training) just by posture and accent, and still effortlessly disarming him before the guy can even blink. Bear in mind that this guard is almost half Stabler's age, and he got bested and had his gun taken.
    Guard: "I have a permit."
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: Season two has Jet go to Malachi for help. Being a cop and him on parole, she lets herself in to find that his ankle monitor is now on his cat's neck, followed by him walking in with a girl. When Malachi reveals that Jet's a cop, the girl scoffs and walks away, revealing an "ACAB" logo on the back of her coat.
    Malachi: "It, uh, means-"
    • Jet dropping a well placed meme in the middle of an investigation of some crooked cops when she reveals that even though one of the cops in question was given a bravery commendation, he's also cheating on his pregnant wife:
"You're in his NYPD personnel file. I'm in his DMs. We are not the same."
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming:
    • Stabler gains the trust of Albi Briscu while undercover by keeping his sexual orientation a secret from the rest of the KO. When Stabler goes to arrest Albi, he accuses Stabler of telling everyone his secret. Despite the fact that he has absolutely no reason to, Stabler purposely avoids outing Albi to even his own team.
    • "The Christmas Episode"
      • Despite all the trouble Eli gets into, Stabler doesn't even once get visibly angry in front of his son, compared to when Kathleen got into trouble back in SVU.
      • Bell allows Jet to help Stabler by breaking protocol (Because the crime happened in NJ, it was outside their jurisdiction and normally would have no standing to formally investigate) to get camera footage of the real killer.

  • Diagnosed by the Audience: Jet's extreme expertise in the specific field of computer hacking combined with her low affect, blunt honesty, and muted emotional displays seem to imply that she's high-functioning on the autistic spectrum.

  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Just a few months following the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, an Intra-Franchise Crossover film involving all Spider-Man cinematic properties, the show casts both James Cromwell and Denis Leary, the respective actors who played Captain George Stacy in Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man, as recurring cast members for its second season.
