  • Draco in Leather Pants: Yuuichi killed his parents, turned the entire town into a wasteland, killing nearly everyone there, psychologically tortured a gang of children in a Deadly Game, and ultimately chose to kill himself, actively rejecting Shunsuke's help. Despite this, there are still fans who say that he was just an innocent victim of society.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Ms Mizuoka died when jumping off a tall building, and Aya attempts to do the same later on in the game. In 2011, the creator of the game, Parun, ended up committing suicide by jumping off the 9th floor of his apartment building.
  • Moral Event Horizon: When it's revealed that Yuuichi killed his own parents, the player should realize that there is NO saving this guy. Indeed, it turns out that he'd rather kill himself than atone for his actions.
  • That One Boss: The Crimson Naked-Eye Black Seal-Ink Man/Princess Utsuroi Momogi takes the Puzzle Boss nature of the other bosses to Guide Dang It! levels. Unlike most battles, it is a Duel Boss, and you need to pick a certain action (Aim For The Eyes) to escape the fight, because the boss cannot be beaten in the conventional way. Once you do, you need to walk around the room and pick up certain items and then use the Throw and Insert abilities in order to pour olive oil on the boss and create a Molotov Cocktail to kill them with- except you are never given any indication that combining the items is what you are supposedly to be doing, or that combining items is even possible, so good luck figuring out what to do without a guide. Also, you only have 15 seconds before the boss drags you back into the fight, forcing you to escape again. To make things worse, picking up certain items can actually make it impossible to escape the fight, and grabbing one item (the Viper Drink) triggers a One-Hit Kill.
