David then comes in and tells Margaret that her cake is ready, and she even gets a baseball charm as a gift. Gertrude hugs her and tells her that she's going to do great things.
- In "Home, Sour Home", Deborah is hanging out at her parents' house, but then Humphrey suddenly shows up. He is furious that Deborah is dating Shellington and begins to argue with her. She decides to cut the visit short and starts to leave while Trying Not to Cry. Barnacles comes by and calmly yet angrily tells Humphrey to stay away from Deborah and smashes Humphrey's foot with his cane. Barnacles and Deborah then share a hug shortly after they leave, and Barnacles promises to be a good Parental Substitute to Deborah.
- In "A Pirate's Tail", a younger Kwazii is lost at sea. It's noted that he's been through several nightmares and loneliness, and he's sobbing Tears of Fear. He then falls into the sea and nearly drowns, but then the Octonauts pull him out and decide to let him join them with open arms.
