- Draco in Leather Pants: Sméagol is much calmer and saner here. Justified, since he was without the Ring for longer than in canon.
- The Woobie: Isengard and Mordor, believe it or not. Bofur (and later, Kíli) are able to communicate with the stone and can tell that those places are miserable about what's been done to them.
