  • It's a movie that tries to be empowering for chubby women. That would be great, but some Brazilian critics have stated that the movie ends up falling into the Fat Comic Relief trap, using the four protagonists' bodies as the source of fat jokes. Especially Marilu is the stereotype of the chubby sex addict who only chases after skinny men, while Beatriz is a Big Eater and even has imaginary conversations with a talking refrigerator.
  • Ivone is kidnapped by her best friend who is in love with her, but she doesn't know that because he is wearing a mask. Throughout the film, she falls in love with her kidnapper and when she finds out the truth, she doesn’t care. Many viewers were horrified.
