YMMV / God's Gang

Go To

  • Audience-Alienating Premise: Even by itself the idea of a show about a team of stereotypical representations of major religions is insensitive, but couple that with the fact this is a show earnestly aimed at a young audience rather than some kind of edgy joke, it becomes baffling how it was ever greenlit.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Sumuslim is the biggest of the gang because of the religions they represent, Islam would have the largest population. While Christianity as a whole has the most followers in the world, Chris Cross is described as Baptist. Because the denomination is only a portion of Christianity, it is smaller than the collective Muslim population. This is also why Ninjew is the smallest, because Judaism is one of the smallest major world religions.
  • What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The show's use of religious/ethnic stereotypes and racial humor can make it easy to mistaken for a Subverted Kids' Show adult cartoon at first glance.
