YMMV / Flipped

  • Broken Base: The movie, for having more of a Sweet Dreams Fuel tone (which is not what the book is or what the events of the movie mainly depict) as well as changing the ending.
  • Cry for the Devil: For all that Bryce's father is a bastard, the scene at the dinner table, where we realize that he lost a part of himself when he quit music manages to make you sympathize with him.
  • Toy Ship: They're in Junior High.
  • What an Idiot!:
    • Bryce throwing away Juli's eggs for two years instead of saying that his family didn't need them, or something of the sort. He lampshades this after he gets caught.
    • Mr. Loski still being a Jerkass about the Bakers even when his wife is giving him a Death Glare and he's spent a night on the couch.
