YMMV / Family Guy S 8 E 8 Dog Gone

• Broken Aesop: Stewie kills a dog to prove to Brian that dogs' lives matter. He tries to mitigate this by pointing out that it was a stray.
• Crosses the Line Twice: The deaths of the animals in Brian's animal rights video.
• Harsher in Hindsight: In this episode, Stewie fakes Brian's death to show that the Griffins do care about him, which is exactly what happened in "Life of Brian" (the infamous Season 12 episode where Brian gets run over and actually dies^note though he does come back in "Christmas Guy"). Also more depressing/wince-worthy due to "Life of Brian" is Brian accidentally running over the dog (which is what Brian's fate was).
• The Woobie: Brian. He's guilt-ridden over accidentally killing a member of his own kind, he discovers nobody cares if a dog dies because of how much of a Crapsack World he's in, and his attempts to prove that animal lives matter are all for naught.
