YMMV / Extermination (2018)

• Broken Base: Some people also didn't take the resurrection of Cyclops well, considering all the lines he had crossed from becoming the de facto leader of the mutants until his death. Others are happy to have the character back after his poorly received death.
• Fridge Horror: Later books will show that adult Hank has learned nothing and actually becomes much worse. Horror sets in when you remember that because of Teen Hank, Adult now knows magic.
• I Knew It!: Most people called that the person impaled by Ahab was actually Mimic, due to how completely fucked Marvel's continuity would be if Young Cyclops were to actually die and because of Mimic's very convenient powers for such a switch to occur.
• Memetic Loser: 2018 has not been nice to Rachel Summers who gets possessed seemingly every other month. The icing on the cake is here in Extermination where she stays one of Ahab's Hounds by the end of the story.
• Replacement Scrappy: Kid Cable killing adult Cable and replacing him was annoying to many fans. In addition, while many fans like how he is sending the O5 back to their time, many dislike his presence as being yet another character from the past.
• Rooting for the Empire: Even before it was revealed that he's doing so relatively harmlessly, many people were rooting for Kid Cable to send the O5 home because many are just sick of them.
