• Harsher in Hindsight: Mina used to watch over the inhabitants and visitors to her dilapidated family home by floating on the ceiling with her back to it. Episode 8 reveals when she was alive, she was constantly bed-ridden and got sick of staring at that ceiling, being able to do nothing else, and feeling like a load to her family.
• Moe:
  • Noella is a cute, energetic werewolf girl who consistently tries to protect her master when she sensed an attack. It is no wonder that she is the mascot of the drugstore.
  • Mina herself is also cute especially whenever she becomes easily flustered due to misunderstandings.
  • Garou Ezil, the Demon King who aspires to conquer the world, is actually a lovestruck doofus who adorably falls hard for Noella and tries to make her his wife only to be dealt devastating blows.
• So Okay, It's Average: Many reviewers have taken this view of the anime adaptation; while it's not outright terrible, its very typical Standard Japanese Fantasy Setting, slow pace and lack of any interesting conflict or stakes aside from allusions to a Great Offscreen War don't make it stand out from other isekai works, even within its specific subgenre. It doesn't help that the anime is Lighter and Softer than the original light novels, since it greatly tones down the violence and black comedy that would have made it stand out more among its contemporaries.
