The Dark Prince goes even further with Estark Izmah, one of Azabel's creations.
- Tainted by the Preview:
- The official announcement drew cries of "Ruined!" due to being an MMORPG, with all that entails including online access required and a subscription fee.
- News that the game is being developed internally by Square Enix instead of longtime developer Level-5 hasn't helped matters considering the wound of Final Fantasy XIV's originally botched release was still fresh in gamers' minds at the time of Dragon Quest X's announcement.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
- The Internet's reaction to online Dragon Quest. Doesn't help that Dragon Quest fans tend to be some of the most traditionalist there are.
- A more literal example was when the western fanbase were angered when the original trial, which allowed any player to play the game offline straight away, was replaced by that segment of the game being only playable online, which is restricted heavily. Thankfully, Dragon Quest X Offline is entirely non-online.
