  • Anvilicious: The episode "Commander No". The episode makes it clear in no uncertain terms that when Commander Crush didn't want to be tickled, he meant it, and that Gloria was very much in the wrong for ignoring his complaints.
  • Broken Base: Toy Hospital. Was it a creative status quo changed that both kept the show fresh and helped introduce more serious topics like cancer and ambulance rides, or was it an unnecessary, weird plot that ruined the simplistic nature of the first three seasons?
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff:
    • The show seems to have something of a following in Argentina. It helps that the Latin American Spanish dub of the show is done there.
    • For that matter, there are also fans in Germany itself.
    • It's also unironically popular with Japanese Moe fans, due to the show's doctor-themed Moe nature.
  • Growing the Beard: Later episodes manage to take on more mature topics without losing sight of the target audience.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Winnie the Pooh fans watching the crossover episode just for this reason. Bonus points for bringing Peter Cullen back to voice Eeyore.
  • Memetic Mutation: A scene from "Ticklish Truck" where Lenny accidentally sprays water on Lambie when she gives him a hug is frequently circulated on social media, due to it resemblingsomething inappropriate.
  • Moe: An IMDb user named Cure Ariel described the show as "Moe" due to Doc McStuffins being the "Healer of Moe-Toys" and its "Moe" nature. Apparently, she thinks this is a bad thing, for whatever reason. Most other reviews also call the show “adorable”, but state it as one of the reasons to why the show is so likeable.
    • Lambie is by far one of the cutest characters in the show, due to her fondness of cuddling and being the most compassionate of the main cast. Special mention goes to her interaction with Piglet in the Hundred Acre Woods episode where she's frequently seen calming him down.
  • Older Than They Think: There's been a lot of rave reviews about how this is the first show of its type with a black protagonist since something like Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, but seem to have forgotten about Little Bill, which is even more entertaining when you consider that Little Bill had Chris(tine) Nee as a writer.
  • Periphery Demographic: The program was reported to set a record for adult viewers for a series targeted at the 2-5 age group and maintains a strong adult following. Factors include the show's subtle humor, use of well-produced songs, and some big-name guest voices, including stars of Disney Channel shows targeted at older audiences, and anime dub actors like Cherami Leigh and Steven Blum. The series is also attracting massive positive attention for featuring an intelligent and ambitious African-American girl as its star heroine.
  • The Problem with Licensed Games: Well, as expected, the first iOS title. Of the three reviews of the game, all three were panning the title. Critics complained that the lack of activities in the game does not justify its US$4 price tag. Also, its Strictly Formulaic, but what were you expecting from a game targeted at toddlers? Thankfully, this sentiment does not continue into the subsequent games (there were four more after this one, and each had their own original mechanics).
  • The Woobie: Every toy that gets injured has their moments.
