There's the fact that the tags on the fanfic even admit that he's verbally abusive, and he constantly puts down the reader for everything. Note that many people still consider him cute despite the Romanticized Abuse.

Why Would Anyone Take Him Back?: Fans question how the reader could ever end up dating her abuser, Bakugou Katsuki. But it's confirmed by the author that they will end up together by the end of the story.
The Woobie: The reader is put through the wringer by all characters, most of whom were quite nicer in the canonical story.
