• Awesome Music: George Delerue's triumphant main theme "Grand Choral", written and scored in the form of a baroque trumpet concerto. Doubles as an anthem of the art of filmmaking, and is often used as a standard snippet e. g. for news coverage of film festivals etc.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Ferrand says in one scene, “The Godfather is showing all over Nice, and it's killing the other movies.” Later, this film would lose an Oscar to The Godfather Part II.
