- Awesome Animation: The show features some pretty impressive claymation for its day, thanks to the involvement of Art Clokey. An often cited example is a scene in the episode "The Mechanical Man," in which a toy robot runs amok and swings Goliath into the air by his tail.
- Parody Displacement: Moral Orel is better known, especially to younger generations (although Word of God has stated that it wasn't supposed to be a parody of Davey and Goliath and was supposed to be more Leave It to Beaver like).
