- Cross-Dressing Voices: Originally averted with Davey as he was voiced by a man for the first three seasons. Played straight with the final few seasons and Davey and Goliath's Snowboard Christmas in which he was voiced by women instead.
- Missing Episode:
- Several episodes have been embargoed from syndication by the ELCA, a "mainline" denomination, mostly due to Values Dissonance, political correctness issues or both. They have been released on DVD and on streaming.
- "The Family of God", where Davey takes his first communion, appears to have been commissioned outside the regular run of the series (possibly for distribution to churches) and wasn't as widely released. It isn't on the DVD set or the series' commercial streaming packages and the ELCA YouTube channel has a VHS rip of the episode (from a tape released by Augsburg Fortress, the denomination's instructional publishing arm), indicating that the film negatives were lost at some point.
- The Other Darrin: The 2003 Christmas special Davey And Goliath's Snowboard Christmas has all of the voices replaced due to either some actors already dead or retired by that time.
- Real Song Theme Tune: "A Mighty Fortress is Our God", a hymn written by Martin Luther in the 16th century.
