• Harsher in Hindsight: In the "Art" episode, Ali G praises painter Rolf Harris as a "genius", and in regards to his work, "you don't know what it is until the end". In 2014, Harris was convicted of indecent assault on minors, and brought a crashing end to his career.
• Values Dissonance: In the "Feminism" episode, Ali G makes some light digs at activists, including confusing feminism with lesbianism, and associates lesbianism with porn. Such digs would be less acceptable today with growing awareness of LGBT and women's rights.
• Unintentional Period Piece: In the "Books" episode, Ali G goes to find a literary agent to pitch his ideas, where he ends up with $50 to start his sci-fi story. With the advent of the internet, ebooks, and self publication services, the significance of such agents have drastically decreased by the 2010s.
