- They Changed It, Now It Sucks! - A matter up for debate, which is why we're here. The original 1998 show took place in Chicago and Cupid's earth name was Trevor Hale which anagrammed to "Heart Lover". The 2009 show takes place in New York, and Cupid's earth name is now Trevor Pierce which fits in with the whole "archer of love" motif. The show has also changed the writing to suit a decade's change in socially accepted dialogue for television.
