• Adaptation Displacement: An unusual example. Cyberbots reuses and alters the sprites for a lot of the mecha in this game for its characters to pilot, and is an entirely different genre, being a one-on-one Fighting Game instead of a Beat 'em Up with Humongous Mecha. However, ask anyone if they recognize where the Armored Warriors bots came from, and they're more likely to mention Cyberbots, unaware that this game exists.
• Awesome Art: The game's got some really impressive sprite graphics, especially for the eponymous mecha.
• Awesome Moments: Playing with a full three-man party is cool enough, but boss battles allow for a major force multiplier - a large Meta Mecha frame is deployed before the fight starts, and the bots reveal themselves to be Combining Mecha, changing form to link up with the frame to form a massive fighting machine. It can withstand substantial punishment and go toe to toe with the bosses, giving incentive to have two other friends with you!
