  • He Panned It, Now He Sucks!: His review of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun ended with a "Skip It" rating. Many people criticized him for reviewing the anime as a romance when he should have reviewed it as a comedy (despite him bringing up in the video that he didn't care for the humor, finding it too formulaic). At over 1000 dislikes, it's probably his most disliked video. He later released a non-review video in which he revealed a change of heart about the series, although since he doesn't do re-reviews his original rating will still be out there.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: When he reviewed ICE, he noted it was unlicensed, and dared an American licensor to not only license it, but also dub it. Sentai Filmworks wound up doing both, which he notes in his review of the dub note .
  • Subbing Versus Dubbing: Depends on which version of an anime he's watched first in most cases, since he often ends up setting up how the characters sound in his mind based on that first viewing, but he'll just as often recommend both if he feels they work.
  • The Woobie: He's very reluctant to interact with his fanbase in person, chalking it up to social awkwardness. He elaborated on this in one of his livestreams, revealing that he was severely bullied during both elementary and high school (to the point that he was taken out of one of his elementary schools) and that this caused emotional issues which are at the core of his awkwardness.
