• Alternate Character Interpretation: The twist is usually taken to imply Corcoran is actually alive, only looking like a ghost, but this is never outright spelled out. He could just be a Friendly Ghost. Of course, his "Look like you've seen a ghost" line implies otherwise.
  • A popular fan-theory is that Cissy acts like such a jerk because she's actually trying to save the brothers from the game. However, she does weirdly make fun of the brothers and eggs them on when they initially refuse to play the second night.
