YMMV / Aftermath - Ten Years Later

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Chloé genuinely see Marinette as a friend and believe her or did she side with her only because she realized Marinette would eventually win against Lila, and so she'll be on the winning side?
• Aluminum Christmas Trees: In Rose's chapter, the doctors hide that her illness can actually be cured. While it might sound outlandish, doctors hiding information is something that actually happens in real life.
• Anvilicious: The moral of the story is to move on and it's absolutely blatant, though not to the point of being annoying.
• Catharsis Factor:
  • Juleka managing to face her family again after how much the people's harassment broke her is certainly cathartic.
  • Everyone has learned to move on with their lives in this fic and made peace with themselves. Considering the high number of Miraculous fanfic that simply had the characters dump their hatred on one another, it's easy for the more serious readers to find some solace in this story.
• Epileptic Trees: From the first chapter, readers immediately come to wonder which classmates sided with Marinette, with Chloé, Adrien, Nino and Juleka being the most prominent guesses. Chloé was confirmed to be one of Marinette's two allies in Sabrina's chapter, while the final chapter reveals the other classmate to be Alix.
• Jerkass Woobie: Lila, surprisingly enough, can come off as this. While her past version is not supposed to be viewed as this, after her growth spurt, things start to truly take a turn for the worst for her. Her back constantly hurt because of her large breasts, her height made her stumble a lot and become nauseous, her hunger was constant and she had to suck it up, and the inmates wanted to rape her (with one extremely close call that absolutely terrified her). And she had to bear with these problems for years. And then the one person she truly considered her friend was executed and it had visible effect on her.
• The Woobie: Most of the classmates are heavily harassed because of their role in Marinette's bullying but they genuinely regret what they did and want to move on. Unfortunately, the public doesn't want to.
