Young Love is a 2023 animated sitcom and a sequel series to to the short film Hair Love. Issa Rae returns to her role from the short, joined by Kid Cudi, Loretta Devine, Harry Lennix, Tamar Braxton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Debra Wilson, and newcomer Brooke Monroe Conaway.
The series follows the Young Loves, a millennial black family in Chicago as they endure the ups and downs of life while pursuing their various passions. The series premiered on Max on September 21, 2023.

Trope Love:
- Adaptation Expansion: As the original work was a short film, the series is full of this, giving the Young Loves employers, relatives and schoolmates.
- Common Law Marriage: Stephen and Angela aren't married due to them having conflicting feelings about the institution (in the season finale, they get engaged but back out at the last minute).
- Imagine Spot: Zuri imagines herself on a red carpet with the hair done by Angela… and immediately getting teased by the reporter.
- Named by the Adaptation: All of the three characters in Hair Love are this:
- The mother is Angela Love.
