Turner Academy is a Furry Webcomic found on the author's Deviant Art account.
It is a slice of life comedy focusing on a group of teenage canines, who attend school at Turner Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts, an international boarding school focusing on the arts. The webcomic mainly focuses on the drama club members: Alex Lovatt, Chloe Cygnet, Beau Remington, CB Mc Cartney, Kit-Milo and Geneva Klinemann, Ginger Foxx, and Dani Grenier.
Turner Academy contains examples of:
- Famous-Named Foreigner: CB McCartney
- Foreign Exchange Student: Justified, as the school is an international boarding school. Out of the main characters, the ones that fit this category are CB (England), Kit and Geneva (Germany), and Dani (Canada)
- Furry Female Mane: Ginger, Dani, Kit Milo, and CB all have full human-like hair and Geneva and Chloe have Ears as Hair with human-like bangs, while and Beau and Alex just have tufts of fur between their ears that look like hair.
- Limited Wardrobe: Subversion. Excluding the occasional costume, each character has no more than four outfits: a signature school uniform combination, and two outfits worn off-campus (spring/summer and winter/fall), plus some kind of shirt and shorts combination for in theatre class, usually overlapping with their off-campus outfits.
- Multi National Team: The main cast of characters is sort of a downplayed version. Half of the main characters (Alex, Chloe, Beau, and Ginger) are American (but from different parts of the US), a quarter (Kit and Geneva) are German, and the other two, CB and Dani, are English and Canadian, respectively.
- New Transfer Student: Ginger, though her origins are never really specified more than Deep South, and Dani, from Canada, are the newest editions to the drama club.
- Non-Uniform Uniform: The school's dress code allows many variations, with most of the main characters having a signature combination.
- Species Surname: Both played straight and subverted. Ginger Cohen-Foxx is a fox, but Chloe Cygnet is an Afghan Hound.
- World of Funny Animals: All the characters are canines, and the majority are domestic dog breeds.
