To Love Your Enemy is a Romantic Comedy Korean Webtoon by Jungyoon (the writer) and Taegon (the illustrator). It can be found on Webtoon, to which it was uploaded from September 2019 to October 2021.

Yeonhee Bae lost her father to an embezzlement scandal and her mother to a pharmaceutical scandal. To top it off, the job she entered after high school turned out to be a pyramid scheme. She seeks to make a fresh start by starting a business degree at the age of 24, but one of the guys in her program, Yikyung Yoon, seems to have it out for her. After she realizes that he knows her secret, she lets her classmates believe they are dating to have some leverage against him.

As fate would have it, Yeonhee and Yikyung begin to grow closer... but then Yikyung asks her to formally pretend to be his girlfriend to get out of an arranged marriage. Can the two of them handle college and their growing feelings for each other?

Tropes:

  • Arranged Marriage: Yikyung's wealthy father wants his son to marry a girl of his choosing for the sake of the business. Also discussed; Yeonhee can't believe her life is now a chaebolnote  drama.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Yeonhee and Yikyung are initially either ignoring or sniping at each other, because Yikyung thinks she was trying to scam his mother and Yeonhee thinks he'll reveal her secret to the school. However, their classmates can sense some sexual tension, which is why it's easy for them to believe they're in a tenuous new relationship rather than straight enemies.
  • Double Date: Yeonhee and Yikyung go on a double date with Yeonhee's friend Yeonsu and her sleazy boyfriend, who hits on Yeonhee at every opportunity. After Yeonsu realizes this, she has no qualms dumping him at the end of the night.
  • Endearingly Dorky:
    • Others theorize that being adorably awkward is how Yikyung got Yeonhee to fall for him.
    • Yeonhee's friend Seonah likes cute, clumsy guys, and fell for her crush Youngwon after he stumbled trying to help her get home from orientation.
  • Fake Relationship:
    • Zigzagged with Yikyung and Yeonhee. She initially spreads rumors that she and Yikyung are a thing to get him to talk to her, then tries to call it off. But then Yikyung's father tries to drag him into an arranged marriage, he tells her that since everyone thinks they are dating anyway, he may as well use it to try and get out of said arranged marriage.
    • Discussed when Yikyung proposes more formally fake dating her: she derides contract relationships as a fantasy.
  • Girls Stare at Scenery, Boys Stare at Girls:
    • Gender-Inverted on the astronomy club field trip; Yikyung is admiring the stars while Yeonhee on the mat next to him turns and notes how handsome he is.
    • After Yeonhee spends the night cramming for a midterm, the two of them watch the sunrise. Yeonhee is entranced by it; Yikyung glances at Yeonghee before turning away, blushing.
  • Groin Attack: After she realizes her boyfriend is a douche, Yeonsee kicks him in the groin.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Both Yikyung and Yeonhee are specifically stated to be head-turners, though the art style makes this difficult to discern.
  • Romantic Fakeā€“Real Turn: Yeonhee and Yikyung go from a rumored Secret Relationship to a formal Fake Relationship to developing genuine feelings for each other.
  • Stalker with a Crush: The leads' senior in the astronomy club, Kiho, won't take no for an answer when Yeonhee rejects him. He eventually resorts to stalking her, leaving notes on her locker and on her doorway, and finally breaking into her house.
