- From Bad to Worse: After Chrysalis forces Rainbow Dash under her control, she forces her to pull off a Crimson Rainboom, revealing everyone's Vanguardian to Chrysalis.
- A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: Pinkie Pie's mind is NOT for the faint of heart...
- More than Mind Control: Chrysalis basically strongarmed Rainbow into submitting by whispering something to her. PONYMAN refuses to reveal what was said.
- Parental Neglect & "Well Done, Daughter!" Girl: While nothing can be said about her mother, Rainbow Dash is very desperate to gain her father's praise.
- Pre-emptive Declaration: When Rainbow Dash has Chrysalis pinned to a wall by her neck with one hand, Rainbow is haughty enough to ask for last words. Chrysalis declares that if she's allowed to speak now, Rainbow will release her, and then kneel before her. When Rainbow calls her bluff, that's exactly what happens.
