Teoria FnF contains examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Much like Benjamin Fairest, Soft Jimmy Five's parents are similarly abusive towards him.
- Adaptational Job Change: In the comics, Seu Antenor (Smudge's father) is the manager of a Dungeons & Dragons store. In the Soft AU, he is a professional artist.
- The Corruption: The Corruption is another mod concept, except it makes its victims black and green instead of black and pink. Similarly, the Pibby corruption also makes an appearance, albeit mostly unchanged from the source material.
- Dating What Daddy Hates: Similar to the Fairests, Soft Jimmy Five's parents aren't too keen on their son being friends with the child of an artist.
- Fusion Fic: The entire series is filled with various FNF plotlines, but with characters from Monica's Gang. For example, Jimmy Five and Monica replace Boyfriend and Girlfriend, while Captain Fray replaces Daddy Dearest. This also extends to mod characters, as Carol is replaced with Milena, while Sky is replaced with Denise.
- Schizo Continuity: Type 2. All of the episodes featuring Monica and Jimmy Five are slated to take place in the same universe. However, the mod concepts featuring overhaul mods (i.e. Neo, B-Side) take place in an Alternate Continuity.
