Proxy is a fan made anime centering around groups of popular Creepypasta characters as they work for a mysterious benefactor, who provides them with resources in exchange for causing as much chaos as physically possible.

The main story follows the group Known as Proxy, located in Alabama, as they get a new member, Jeffery Woods, AKA Jeff the Killer in addition to the other members: Ben Drowned, Masky and Hoody from Marble Hornets, Eyeless Jack and Slender Man. Oh and SmileDog.

The plot is mainly character centric and has a substantial amount of humor, however the tone is significantly darker than most other stories about the characters.

Examples

  • Affably Evil: All of the members of Group Proxy. Jack lampshades this when talking about Masky and Hoodie.
Jack: They don't talk much but they're pretty nice.
  • Axe-Crazy: Jeff, obviously. The other members of Proxy could qualify, but we haven't seen enough of them to tell.
  • Dead Fic: Word of God says that a second episode won't be made.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Slenderman.
Slenderman: You'd think a guy with no eyelids would be a lighter sleeper.
Slenderman: You may call me Slenderman. Everyone else seems to.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Masky and Hoodie, who share a room.
  • Mood-Swinger: Jack randomly turns into a Keet while offering to show Jeff around. Slenderman makes a gesture with his tentacle to tone it down.
  • Mr. Exposition : Slenderman. A (near) solid minute of plot in the first episode.
  • Nightmare Face: Slendy does this...somehow to wake Jeff up.
  • Only Sane Man: Slenderman. Or perhaps more accurately, "Least Insane Man".
  • R-Rated Opening: The first episode begins with a Glasgow Grin sporting man killing an innocent young woman, then being captured by a faceless monster that force-feeds him some sort of poison. Certainly doesn't seem to be an opening to a light-hearted series.
  • Skewed Priorities: Jeff's first instinct after being nabbed by Slendy is to ask where his knife is. Slenderman lampshades this.
  • Villainous Rescue: Subverted; episode one begins with Jeff stalking and trying to kill a young woman in the woods, only to be captured by the Slender Man. However, Slendy was mostly just looking to nab Jeff and get out of there, and Jeff had already killed the woman by the time he did.
  • Villain Protagonist : It comes with the territory of being about Creepypasta characters.
