*whispers* Just LEMMiNO...
Lemmino (stylized as LEMMiNO), also known as David Wångstedt is a Swedish content creator on YouTube.

Formerly known as Top10Memes when he first started in 2012 his videos mostly consisted of showcasing rage comics, narrating CreepyPastas, and Top 10 facts about various subjects/media.

However, after reaching 2 million subscribers, they subsequently rebranded, and the content shifted towards more serious documentary styled videos, chronicling various historical events, unsolved mysteries, and bizarre social media phenomenon. He still makes Top 10 videos, albeit not as frequently with the most recent one being uploaded in 2018.

The videos are praised for being well-detailed, well-researched, and are oftentimes on par with TV and network funded documentaries of similar ilk.

Lemmino also makes the music that he uses in his videos and posts it on a secondary channel; LEMMiNO Music as well as a vlog channel where he posts animations about his life; LEMMiNO TV

He also has a Twitter, Subreddit, and a Patreon.

LEMMiNO provides examples of:

  • Artificial Intelligence: He has a video dedicated to this concept showing the effect it's had on pop culture and it's real life application. He also shows the effect it could have on the human race, both good and bad.
  • Apocalypse How:
    • "Grazed by the Apocalypse" explores various close calls involving nuclear weapons.
    • "Consumed by the Apocalypse" discusses other existential threats to human civilization, including asteroids, pandemics, and climate change. Downplayed in that most of these events either won't render humanity extinct in one fell swoop or are so unlikely as to be not worthy worrying about.
  • Cultural Posturing: Being a Swede, LEMMiNO's videos often contain an obligatory jab at Denmark.
  • Hacker Collective: Covers the Cicada 3301 mystery here. He even constructs his own Alternate Reality Game using many of the same techniques.
  • Invisible Aliens: Discusses the Fermi Paradox in "The Great Silence".
  • Lemony Narrator: Often peppers in jokes and injects his personal opinions and thoughts while documenting various stories.
"Once aboard [the plane] Cooper made himself comfortable in the middle of the last row seats on the right side of the cabin. He ordered a drink and invokedhad a smoke, cause this was the The '70s."
  • Running Gag: Many jabs are thrown towards Denmark, often in unexpected places.
  • Science Marches On: Takes particular focus on historical mysteries about the solar system in "Bygone Visions of Cosmic Neighbors".
  • Shown Their Work: Goes quite into depth on topics and each video is appended with an annotated bibliography and sometimes does his own original research. One particular example in ''Bygone Visions'' is discovering that Athanasius Kircher had made an observation of Venus's ashen light while in Palermo, Sicily, which from another source he only visited in 1638, predating Giovanni Riccioli's first recorded observation in 1643.
  • Stock Unsolved Mysteries: A common topic of documentaries, covering DB Cooper, The Lost Colony of Roanoke, Jack the Ripper, MH 370, UFO abductions, the Dyatlov Pass incident, Who Shot JFK?, and more. Unlike the approach of other content creators, Lemmino presents evidence that argues for the simplest, most mundane explanation.
  • Top Ten List: On death, music, space, animals, football and much much more. While previously the main focus of the channel, it has taken a back seat to documentaries.
  • Who Shot JFK?: Reviews the Kennedy Assassination here, focusing on the eyewitness testimony of people in and around the Texas Schoolbook Depository. He concludes that the evidence strongly suggests that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, and that the discrepancies among witnesses were not strong enough to suggest otherwise. If there was a wider conspiracy, it was an unnecessarily convoluted and stupid one.

The Jump of D.B. Cooper

The introduction to LEMMiNO's video on D.B. Cooper begins with the man's fateful jump out of the plane, set to dramatic music and overlayed with a few reports of the events. The music comes to an abrupt halt when D.B. falls into a forest, implied to his death, complete with [[DisturbedDoves startled birds flying off from the noise]].

How well does it match the trope?
