All Locked Up And No Place To Go.

"At The End Of The Day These Teenage Criminals Are No Different Then You Or Me.... Except They Have A Police Record."

Littlest Pet Shop: Red Lights (abbreviated to LPS: Red Lights) is a YouTube Web Original series by YouTuber Gerrie Berrie.

A Young Adult Crime Thriller, the story follows our hero, repeat offender Velvet May Blue, a scrappy young lady who, following a two-month prison sentence, has been cut off by her parents.

Fortunately, she happens upon a group of high schoolers who are excited to invite her to a party at the popular Diesel's house. Unfortunately, Diesel's embittered ex blows her brains out during an impromptu game of Russian roulette. But just as the heat is about to come down on the band of teens, Velvet convinces them all to follow her into the woods, where her old hideout (a seemingly abandoned building) nestles. The plan is to lay low until they've shaken the cops, but as drama festers and a new, frightfully tempting opportunity is presented to the fledling criminals, things go sideways, guns go off and there's blood.

The entire series (plus bonus content) can be viewed here.

Tropes:

  • All for Nothing: The team doesn't get to spend a single cent of the $25,000 given to them for taking out Mr. Wilson and his new girlfriend. They are instead hunted down and killed by the cops/themselves. Ironically, this all began as a desperate attempt to escape the law in the first place, as Diesel feared he would've been arrested for the death of Joyce. But their attempted escape only led to their undoing.
  • Downer Ending: The entire cast of main characters (save Jack, Zack and Rita) dies, achieving nothing. Sheriff Bruce is left disturbed by this self-destructive gang of delinquents, wondering what their motives were for taking things so far and never spending a cent of the money they earned on their double homicide.
  • Foreshadowing: Russell is the go-to man in the crew for starting campfires. He ends up starting a fire in which he burns alive.
  • From Bad to Worse: Joyce's accidental suicide could get Diesel in trouble, for sure, but Velvet's plan to hide out in the woods only casts more suspicion on Diesel and the whole gang, and eventually they become wanted criminals, past the point of no return.
  • Mexican Standoff: Averted when Red and his gang enter the hideout. A few characters, such as Velvet and Princess, are keen to whip out the guns and get stand-offing, but Red himself eventually deescalates the situation.
  • Suicide Mission: The gang's hitjob turns out to be one. Those who aren't picked off in the car chase with the police either kill themselves out of trauma or as a final act of escape when the police snipers close around their new hideout.
