- Angrish: Ditzy tends to fall into this whenever the Doctor screws up a puzzle.
- Big Word Shout: The Doctor yelling "DIIIIITZYYYYY!" frequently.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Sometimes Ditzy or the Doctor will break character and speak as BaldDumboRat or Keikoandgilly rather than their actual character, leading to the other calling them out on it. Sometimes they break the fourth wall while staying in character - for example, Ditzy reading the chat questions or complaining about the cat fur in her face.
- Character Catchphrase:
- The Doctor gets a lot. "I have an idea!" "Oh dear." "There we are!" "Trust me." "I'm not fat!" "That's not fair!"
- Ditzy herself gets "You're fat!" and an insincere "Sorry!"
- Comedic Sociopathy: Derpy likes to abuse the Doctor a lot. Though it seems to be half this, half her being The Ditz her triggering a Death Trap on him by accident.
- Funny Background Event: In the final episode, during the credits, Derpy says she needs to take a nap. As soon as she says this, GLaDOS - who is reading the files of the people in the credits - says that one of the people is "Always sleeping".
- Hypocritical Humour: Derpy cries and calls the Doctor a jerk when he causes her to die, but laughs and calls him stupid when the same happens to him.
- Oh, Crap!: Typically Ditzy's reaction whenever the Doctor declares that he has an idea.
- Running Gag: Derpy calling the Doctor fat and stupid. Usually fat.
- Ship Tease: Sprinkled throughout, but most notably at the end of Part 3 when Derpy seemingly begins to say "I love you" before the video cuts out.
