Bae Woong was once a strong and fit athlete – at least in his mind. Eager to get back to his old physique, he goes looking for a gym in the neighborhood, and stumbles upon one that seems oddly expensive and discreet. He isn’t even allowed to hear about the specific workouts they provide until after he signs a nondisclosure agreement. He finds it strange, but the women working there are very attractive and Woong has nothing to lose. After signing the agreement, he learns the secret to their bodies: sex.

Sexercise contains examples of the following tropes:
- Ambiguously Brown: Mo Hani has blonde hair and a notably darker complexion than the rest of the cast. This combined with fact that she sometimes sprinkles Gratuitous Spanish in her speech might be a hint that she's of Latin American descent. It is later confirmed in Chapter 37 that Hani is half-Korean, half-Mexican.
- The Art of Bra Removal: In a humorous subversion, Woong freezes up during his first session upon trying to remove his partner's bra only to remember that he's heard of a "hook" involved, panicking slightly when he can't figure out where this supposed hook is. His partner has to gently tell him that she's wearing a sports bra, which can be removed like a shirt.
- Beautiful All Along: Hyuna notes to herself that Sunyoo isn't bad-looking without his glasses.
- Big Beautiful Man: Despite Woong's desire to lose weight he's drawn just as handsomely as he was a year ago, and he still has a noticeable bit of muscle from his judo days. Hani thinks he's cute, Yoona flatout says his weight gain hasn't affected his good looks, and even Soohyun privately thinks to herself that he's an attractive guy.
- Big Beautiful Woman: Hyuna is noticeably plump and quite cute. Even notable Jerkass Charim, who immediately starts internally voicing his scorn at her body the moment he meets her, spends a few moments ogling her breasts once he sees her naked. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sunyoo seems to be incredibly taken with her, at one point asking if she's trying to seduce him when she's just lying there in bed spacing out.
- The Big Damn Kiss: The first season ends on one between Woong and Soohyun.
- Bigger Is Better in Bed: A Running Gag of the comic is everyone's reactions to Woong's huge dick contrasted with how oblivious he appears to be to his own size. Notably, all of Woong's partners have been left very satisfied after "working out" with him. After Woong's first day at the gym, Soohyun recalls the reactions of his partners while wondering to herself if size really does make a difference... and the scene immediately cuts to Hani firmly telling Miso that of course size makes a difference.
- Elevator Failure: Woong and Soonhyu get themselves stuck in an elevator at the end of the first season. This leads to their First Kiss and almost Their First Time.
- Formerly Fat: Miso is revealed to have been incredibly overweight prior to taking the program. He is even used in a "Before and After" ad for the gym.
- Formerly Fit: Woong was a muscular judoka with a promising career before a knee injury forced him to give up judo. The sudden lack of exercise combined with his depression led him to gain quite a bit of weight over the course of a year.
- The Gadfly: Hani really, really, really likes messing with everyone around her a bit too much.
- Geek Physiques: Sunyoo is a geeky looking guy of the "fragile and scrawny" variety. He actually bemoans the fact that he can't seem to gain weight to Hyuna. Considering this is right after she just complained about having trouble losing weight, she's more than a little annoyed.
- Good Adultery, Bad Adultery: Soohyun and Charim have this dynamic since they both end up cheating on the other at some point in the story. However, Soohyun is portrayed more sympathetically whilst Charim isn't. The major difference being Charim is a straight-up JerkAss who regularly cheats on Soohyun without much remorse whereas Soohyun is mostly reserved to perverted thoughts about having sex with Woong until she almost has sex with him. This is even shown in a moment where Soohyun feels incredibly guilty over an erotic fantasy she had of Woong, considering it cheating, whilst Charim is simultaneously annoyed about how a recent fling went.
- Gratuitous Spanish: Hani sometimes drops a few phrases in Spanish. Combined with her dark complexion and blonde hair, this may be hinting she's of Latin American descent. This is confirmed in Chapter 37 when it is revealed that Hani is half-Mexican.
- Interrupted Intimacy: Woong and Soohyun almost have Their First Time together whilst trapped in an elevator. That is until Hani interrupts from the other side.
- Naked Apron:
- In one scene Hani convinces Miso to try out this getup to her delight.
- Juan is shown in one when Hani visits her sister Paulina's house. With Juan even revealing he's not allowed to wear clothes.
- Shipper on Deck: Hani seems to clue into Woong and Soohyun's chemistry very quickly during their workout session and even convinces Soohyun to let Woong test a toy on her just to see them squirm.
- Stout Strength: Weight gain aside, Woong clearly still has quite a bit of muscle from his judo days. He's also strong enough to basically immobilize Charim just by grabbing his wrist, to his great shock.
- Teeny Weenie: Charim is revealed to have one by the brown-haired gym member he once had sex with.
- Workout Fanservice: The whole comic is sort of a cheeky spin on this very trope. But there's several more conventional examples, like Yoona being introduced as she's using the treadmill with a prominent shot of her toned abs and thighs.
