Lil' Pootis is a series of Team Fortress 2 fan animations by Quazies, revolving around a doll-sized bird Heavy named Pootis, as well as his adventures with the RED Scout, the RED Team and the various doll-sized versions of other classes.

Contains examples of:

  • April Fools' Day: "Pootis Goes to Hell" involves Pootis taking two candies from a bowl, when it says to only take one. He then falls into Hell, where the Medic was talking with the Devil.
  • Big Ball of Violence: Resulted from a scuffle between the Scout and the store clerk after the former was trying to make off with the recalled Medimedes. The ball of violence only broke off when they both found out that the box was missing, with Olivia Mann taking it.
  • Creepy Doll: Medimedes was first mentioned as having the entire doll line recalled, with an implied good reason for that. Olivia Mann took the one remaining box while Scout was scuffling with the store clerk, but soon was looking to give it away for a price because of its cursed nature. When Medimedes made its full-fledged appearance in Pootis' Last Date, he tried to murder Scout, only to be unwittingly foiled by Pootis.
  • Cuteness Proximity: BLU Sniper has this, which Blootis exploits. See Puppy-Dog Eyes below.
  • Easily Detachable Robot Parts: Tiny Desktop Engineer has a detachable hand, which shocked poor Pootis until the Tiny Desktop Engineer reattached it.
  • Empty Nest: Scout's mother was happy to see Scout return home with Pootis, and when getting a chair for the latter rubbed dust off the back of the high chair bearing the former's name, saddening Scout's mother.
  • Eyes Always Shut: BLU Pootis, aka Blootis, has his eyes closed unlike RED Pootis. He opens them when trying to calm Pootis down and when trying to get BLU Sniper to open the cold storage door.
  • Foil: Both Scouts do have a similar set of parents, with their fathers being their team's respecive Spies. The RED Scout remained close to his mother, but remained unaware about the RED Spy being his real father as the parents continue to have relations in secret. Meanwhile, the relationship between the BLU Spy and the BLU Scout's mother went south very quickly, that by the time the Scout grew up and became a mercenary, the BLU Engineer stepped in alongside the Spy after an ugly separation. The BLU Scout is also rather different in characterization, given the general aloofness, his smoking habit, his taste in magazines, and an older, more muscular appearance. Pootis only caught on when noticing BLU's male pattern baldness, and did not take it well at all.
  • Good Cannot Comprehend Evil: Pootis still adored Medimedes, even while the latter kept trying to murder the Scout. Medimedes however did make no effort to harm Pootis, and was even distressed when Pootis was mere moments from being swept away by an opening drainage when attracted to a fake Pootis set as bait.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: Pootis is not exceptionally bright or the best judge of character (especially if the Spycrabs and Medimedes are anything to go by), but is easygoing and nonmalicious throughout. When Scout took him to the Medic for a medical checkup, an x-ray revealed that he had a small brain but a big heart.
  • Parental Substitute: Ever since the BLU Scout's parents split up unamicably, the BLU Engineer stepped in as a surrogate parent alongside the BLU Spy.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Blootis uses this on BLU Sniper to convince him to let Blootis and Pootis into the cold storage. It works like a charm.
  • Silence Is Golden: There is no dialogue in this series, aside from the grunting of the characters.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: In "Pootis Goes To The Doctor", Medic sports a dead, vacant stare after seeing Pootis light up a cigarette complete with Color Failure (albeit with turning red instead of the usual white or gray).
  • Toxic Friend Influence: The Spycrabs that Scout bought to accompany Pootis got the latter into a smoking habit. When the horrified Medic sees Pootis smoking a cigarette and chews the Scout out for it, Scout decided to dump the Spycrabs out. They did return to the house, but live behind a wall for the remainder of the series.
  • Tube Travel: At the end of the first season, poor Pootis got swept away when the drainage opened up, sending him to the other side of the drain to the BLU Base, where he was picked up by the BLU Scout.
  • Youthful Freckles: BLU Scout has these, though ironically he's older than his RED counterpart.
