"Hello, I'm Doge. And welcome to another edition of Doge News."

Doge News is an ongoing series of animations by youtuber Typo-Joe MMXXI. It centers on the adventures of the famous Doge as he travels the cosmos with his band of friends, reporting on all the latest in pop culture and world events, battling the evil King Stuart along the way.

Doge News contains examples of:

  • After the End: Doge and Zeemz meet Rei and Pen-Pen on Earth post Third Impact.
  • Alien Animals: Most of the characters given the intergalactic setting. The Rat Kingdom in particular is a whole planet of large sapient rats.
  • Beam-O-War: Rei and Big Chungus duel energy beams in episode 23. Unfortunately Chungus overpowers Rei and captures her.
  • Big Bad: King Stuart, who wants to use Rei's power to achieve his dream of universal conquest, and is hellbent on killing the heroes to get it.
  • Breather Episode: The episode where Doge and friends go grocery shopping, although it indirectly leads to the main storyline when the rats pick up their trail.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: What starts off as just a quirky news show becomes an ongoing epic of a dog and his friends battling an evil mouse king and his army to save the universe, as well as Doge dealing with the absence of his father.
  • Character-Magnetic Team: Doge starts out all on his own, but gradually gathers a crew, consisting of Zeemz, Rei,Pen-Pen, Wheatley, Space-Sphere(or Space-Balls), and Thomas The Rat.
  • Cool Ship: The Intergalactic Cringe Spaceship, as Doge puts it.
  • Crossover: Neon Genesis Evangelion and Portal characters are among the friends Doge picks up on his journey.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Both Doge and Rei. Rei's is obvious, being the last survivor of Third Impact, while Doge lost his father and is determined to make up for the lost time by scattering his ashes across the end of the universe.
  • Darkest Hour: Episode 25 has Space-Balls dead, the heroes on the run, and Stuart prepared to annihilate Doge's homeworld if he can't have Rei. What's more, Doge's relationship with the crew is strained by his anger and selfish attitude.
  • Fantastic Racism: Discussed when King Stuart introduces himself to Doge:
Stuart: You, however, are being charged with killing two of my men, and calling them plagues, you racist mutt!
Doge: A mutt? Look whose calling racist! You don't even know what that word means!
  • Kent Brockman News: The "Doge News" segments consist of Doge reporting on various real-world events, whether movies, games, or political crises.
  • Rag Tag Band Of Misfits: Doge's crew, of course, consisting of several talking animals, two off the wall robot spheres, a cloned girl with strange powers, and a penguin.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: The citizens of the Rat Kingdom.
